And today I swam almost 30 laps I think. I swam 8, and then the gal in the lane next to me was chatting about her upcoming race and my upcoming race. I had a little rest, and then just continued to go to almost 30. I lost count. I felt relaxed and was just concentrating on gliding the pool.
I also ran for 30 minutes today and tonight Bruce and I strength trained at the gym.
Bruce was kind enough to let me get a Triathlon Coach. It's with Gage Total Training- this will be the team I will be on for the race. I just received my calendar of workouts and I must say I'm glad I decided to get a coach.
That's all for now. It's time for bed.

Maggie - this is so cool! I'm sorry this is the first time i'm checking out your blog.
i'm planning to run a half marathon in October with one of my friends who does triathlons and whatnot. I am at zero right now, but I do love running when i do it regularly. i will keep coming back for motivation to get on track!
Alyssa good for you!
I too started at ground zero. You will get there! Just take it one work out at a time.
Which 1/2 Marathon are you planning on doing?
If you haven't started already check out runnersworld.com
There's lots of great info there. And make sure you go to a running store to get fitted for proper running shoes.
Good Luck!
